Private or Government School - Which is better? Introduction The debate between the comparison of private and government educational institutes will go on till eternity. Both have their own significance in their respective fields. Both types of institutes have much to nurture and reproduce the future champions of India. Is that only the schools who are responsible for the development of the children? If so, which could be better private or the Government ones? Many feel that the private institutes are better over government schools, is that true? Private - Private schools have better infrastructure required for the physical and mental development of the child. They can help with the required facilities for the students to learn their lessons in a better way. The infrastructure can help them to have a practical approach to education. - The private institutes are better in their approach towards the psychological development of the children. - Private schools maintain better hygiene and environment which could safeguard the health of the students. - The education imparted in the private schools are more of audio-visual now-a-days with the emergence of computers into the learning. - Private schools can also provide better sport activities and equipments for the physical development of the children. - Students can learn the civilized and modern approach which is of demand in the MNC culture which is feeding many of us in present era. Government - Government schools are affordable and they provide the minimum required infrastructure to meet the basic needs. - Private schools do not accommodate the low economic group students. Right to education is the freedom for everyone, and government schools provide education to all the children without any partiality. - Policies like ‘ Free and compulsory education’ and ‘ Education to the girl child’ are made possible only in the government schools. - Government schools also provide the basic sports facilities and physical education to the students. - Private schools cannot compete in the essential educational requirements of the staffs that the government schools fulfil. - Government institutes also provide good salary to their teaching and management faculties. Conclusion Private schools are definitely better than government schools as they would provide better infrastructure, better teacher to student ratio, have a clean & hygienic facility, provide better environment for students with options of personality development and extracurricular activities. Government schools are maintained just to provide basic education to those who can't send their wards to private schools. To win over their counterparts and to be relevant in the market, they employ good teachers and other staffs. Government schools have good teachers but most of them are careless about students future. Staff members have secured job and schools have no competition and run fearlessly with no insecurity. The future of a country lies in schools and colleges. In India, we have both private and government owned schools. Private schools are better equipped in terms of safety, facilities and infrastructure. They are expensive but they offer quality as well. They maintain quality and good teachers in order to get more admissions. Government schools are run for those who can't afford lofty fees. Teachers are high quality there but they don't care to impart best to their students. These schools don't face any competitions from their pears so they hardly care about quality stuff. But these schools are very important since many can't go to private institutes, learning something is better than nothing. Intent and initiative are required from government to improve the ecosystem of their schools. This will ensure long term benefits. As it purely depends on the teachers and parents who closely monitor what students are doing. Private schools like pressure cookers they put lot of pressure on students mind and give loads of home work for which students never bother to learn rather they want to close their eyes and complete the work. Where as in rural environment kids grow with all the knowledge face the world. One thing I accept it's very tough for Govt student after 10th to adopt to English medium, But it takes hardly 1 year to adjust to the changed environment if the are taking science after 10th. Reasons we all know why because private schools have better command over education system. Along with education system there is neat and clean surroundings, good and well maintained management system, good facilities, advanced teaching methodology and many more because of which every parent wants to educate his/her child in private schools irrespective of knowing that in government school, the level of intelligence of teachers are very much higher than that of private school teachers. and this is the only reason why private schools are earning huge profits. Along with education system there is neat and clean surroundings, good and well maintained management system, good facilities, advanced teaching methodology and many more because of which every parent wants to educate his/her child in private schools irrespective of knowing that in government school, the level of intelligence of teachers are very much higher than that of private school teachers. and this is the only reason why private schools are earning huge profits. Government need to place strict, honest and punctual dean in government schools, so that there should be proper functioning of government schools by most highly qualified and hard working teachers. Today the Principals of government schools are so lazy that they don't want to do work and just want to enjoy the facilities of government, which in turn gives whole teaching staff, safai karamcharis, security guards and all other to just mark their attendance, don't do their work at all and lasts the poor IQ of the students of government schools. There should be strict and disciplined higher authority, who will monitor the proper functioning of management and education system of government schools. Then only parents will feel like to send their kids to government schools, which will take government schools to the profitability list and will increase the funds of government, which government can apply in other development areas of the country.RE: Private or Government School - Which is better? -Soumen Maity (06/12/15)Good evening everyone, According to there is need of both type of schools. I case of private school student who's family background is economically fit only they can afford a private school, the advantage of private school is that they can provide good coaching and great infrastructure than governmental school. But students who are not economically fit they can't afford private school, for them governmental school is best option. So as for conclusion I can say that private school is better but there is also a significant importance of government school.
